In response to Mirador being featured in the May issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, Dr. Hansen of FARES will be giving a private presentation at the Morgan Library in New York City. This special event will shed light on the cultural and natural saga of humanity and nature in the Maya world of Guatemala.

The Musee du Quai Branly, in Paris, France, will be showcasing a special exhibition of Mayan artifacts from throughout Meso-America. There will be several artifacts from the Mirador Basin that will be shown to the public view for the first time, as the government of Guatemala is allowing them to be unveiled for this special exhibition! This exhibition runs from June through September, 2011.
